Scarborough, ON – The Kerala Association of Canada (KAC) is thrilled to announce Kerala Fest 2023, a grand celebration of Kerala’s vibrant culture and traditions. The event will take place on September 2, 2023, from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm at the Chinese Cultural Centre in Scarborough.
Kerala Fest 2023 will be a captivating showcase of various cultural programs that highlight the richness and diversity of Kerala’s heritage. Attendees can look forward to a day filled with music, dance, and traditional art forms. The festival will provide a platform for talented performers to demonstrate their skills and present the beauty of Kerala’s cultural arts.
The festival will be a general admission event, allowing attendees the freedom to explore and enjoy the various cultural attractions throughout the day. There will be no assigned seating or seat numbers, fostering an atmosphere of unity and camaraderie among participants. It’s an opportunity for everyone to immerse themselves in the festivities and experience the vibrant traditions of Kerala.
To enhance the authenticity of the experience, attendees will have the opportunity to embrace Kerala’s cultural attire. Settu-Mundu or Dhoti, traditional garments worn in Kerala, will be provided for free to participants. This gesture aims to encourage festival-goers to embrace the cultural essence of Kerala and celebrate its heritage.
Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to enjoy an exquisite Onam Sadhya, a traditional feast associated with the harvest festival of Onam. The Onam Sadhya will feature a delectable spread of authentic Kerala cuisine, showcasing the flavors and culinary traditions of the region. It will be a gastronomic delight for all attendees.
