Born and raised in the quaint town of Piravom, Ernakulam, Sandra Mariyam Bijo’s journey is a testament to the power of following one’s passions and pursuing one’s dreams. From her early years at St. Philomena’s Public School and Junior College in Elanji, Kerala, Sandra displayed a keen interest in dance and extracurricular activities, showcasing her vibrant spirit and enthusiasm for life.
Deep-seated desire
Sandra completed her schooling and college at St. Philomena’s Public School and Junior College, Elanji, Kerala. Driven by a deep-seated desire to make a difference in the world, she found herself drawn to social services and developed a natural knack for problem-solving and mediation. Her compassionate nature and ability to inspire and motivate others led her to explore opportunities beyond her hometown, eventually setting her sights on Canada as an ideal destination to pursue her aspirations.
Bold leap of faith
In 2021, Sandra took a bold leap of faith and embarked on a new chapter of her life, moving to Canada to enroll in the Social Service Worker program at Fanshawe College, Ontario. Determined to make a meaningful impact in the field of social services, she honed her skills and gained invaluable knowledge through her education.
Upon completing her diploma, Sandra set her sights on Halifax, Nova Scotia, where she currently resides and thrives in her career. Embracing her passion for networking and community engagement, she actively seeks opportunities to connect with like-minded individuals and make a positive impact in her surroundings.
Love for dance
Outside of her professional endeavors, Sandra finds joy and fulfillment in showcasing her talents on social media, particularly through her love for dance. What began as a hobby and a means to fill her spare time has blossomed into a platform for self-expression and creativity, allowing Sandra to share her passion with the world.
Unwavering support
Throughout her journey, Sandra has been fortunate to have the unwavering support of her family, including her father, Bijo Alias, her mother, Soby Bijo, and her sister, Elizabeth Sara Bijo. Their encouragement and belief in her abilities have been instrumental in propelling Sandra forward as she continues to strive for excellence in her chosen field.
