Born and raised in the picturesque locales of Ernakulam, near Chottianikkara, Amarjith Saji‘s life journey is a testament to the unwavering power of determination and boundless passion. From the early influences of his parents, Mr. Saji and Ms. Vijayalakshmi, Amarjith was inspired to embark on a remarkable odyssey that encompassed various realms – from academics to music, sports, and entrepreneurship.
Early Education and Unveiling the Love for Music
Amarjith commenced his educational voyage at TocH R Public School and later at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Kadavanthra, diligently pursuing his studies until the 12th grade. Even in these formative years, it was evident that a profound ardor for music and the arts coursed through his veins. He meticulously honed his musical talents, delving into classical music and mastering instruments like the violin and mridangam. Music gradually evolved into an inseparable part of his life, nurturing a burgeoning ambition to someday establish his own entrepreneurial venture in the industry.
A New Chapter: Venturing Abroad for Higher Education
In 2019, Amarjith embarked on a transformative chapter of his life, venturing across continents to pursue higher education in Canada. Enrolling as a Mechanical Engineering student at Sheridan College in Brampton, he embarked on a rigorous three-year advanced diploma course, arming himself with knowledge and skills for the future.
Overcoming Adversity with Unyielding Determination
Amarjith’s path to success was not without its share of challenges. Arriving in Canada on the cusp of the COVID-19 pandemic, he confronted initial struggles, particularly in securing part-time employment. Yet, his resolve remained unwavering.
His passion for music had been evident since his time in Kerala, where he founded the band THARANGAM. Regrettably, he had to part ways with the band due to his migration to Canada. Despite facing numerous obstacles in Canada, including busy schedules and personal struggles, he continued to nurture his musical aspirations.
Turning Passion into Opportunity
It was during this period that Amarjith rediscovered his musical journey in Canada, thanks to a cherished gift from his friend Ashith – a guitar presented on his birthday. With this new instrument in hand, he began composing and performing his original compositions. Simultaneously, his love for sports materialized when he earned a coveted spot on the North Mississauga Soccer Club’s football team, a prestigious Canadian OPDL division league team.
Building Connections Through Art
Amarjith’s quest to connect with like-minded individuals led him to the heart of the Canadian Malayali community. Here, he graced the stage at a Canadian Malayali community event organized by the Mallu Goose and the Canadian Media Club CAR Meet.
Founding the 3Lok Music Band
Riding on the crest of this newfound momentum, Amarjith, along with his talented friends Tessa and Faraaz, founded the 3Lok Music Band. In this musical endeavor, he shines as the lead singer, a prolific songwriter, and a gifted composer. The band has left an indelible mark on numerous prestigious events, including the Bluemoon Production Award Night, Taste of India, Desi Fest, and several charity and organizational entertainment galas. Notably, the band has also released original compositions, “ALAKAL” and “SWATHI,” on their YouTube channel.
A Dazzling Dance Journey and Aspiring Entrepreneur
Beyond the realm of music, Amarjith’s talents extend to the world of dance and choreography. His formative years in this domain were shaped under the tutelage of the late Dance Master Rajinikanth Kannan in Ernakulam. Since the age of 15, he has been choreographing shows and prestigious film award events. His most recent choreography endeavor was showcased in the Onam Rap song “AY AYYA THEYY” by JD, the Mallu rapper.
Currently, Amarjith holds the role of Program Coordinator for the upcoming event of the esteemed entertainment company, LEVITATE ENTERTAINMENT.
A Vision for the Future
As Amarjith moves forward, his ambition knows no bounds. He aspires to manage and scale the growth of entertainment-related activities and nurture the flourishing trajectory of his beloved band. Simultaneously, he envisions the launch of his own business, all while continuing to excel in his diverse career.
