Born and raised in the beautiful city of Kottayam, Motti Lal was a dreamer since childhood. He excelled in academics and sports, showcasing his artistic flair in many school and higher secondary events, earning numerous accolades.

At the tender age of 11, he lost his father. This was a significant blow, but his resilient spirit and his mother’s unwavering support kept him going. His mother, once a teacher, took up a position as an immigration consultancy manager. This allowed her to learn about studying abroad opportunities, inspiring her to guide her only son towards an international education.

Beginning his IELTS preparations from ninth grade, Motti was intent on pursuing his dreams. In 2018, he took a leap of faith, moving to Canada. His aspirations of becoming a medical professional took a detour, and he found himself enrolling in Business Administration at Cambrian College, Sudbury, Ontario, where he studied until 2020.

Since 2015, Motti has been actively involved in social media. His networking skills, honed since childhood, were put to good use as he engaged with a global community. Recognizing his talents, a digital marketing company in Kottayam offered him a voluntary job in 2017-18, which he accepted. His aim was to assist in managing and growing their social media platforms and achieve high engagement levels.

Motti decided to move to Canada in 2018 as a student. He approached a bank for a mortgage, but they refused. However, he received help from a few people, including his father, who had helped them in their time of need. Motti is grateful for the support he has received and is currently contemplating his next steps

The move to Canada brought significant challenges. Initially, he took up part-time and full-time work as a dishwasher at an Italian restaurant. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he also worked at Walmart for a period, handling truck unloading. Afterward, he gained employment as a bookkeeper for a furniture company from 2020 to 2022. This experience provided him with invaluable insights into financial management and further strengthened his interpersonal skills.

However, Motti was not content. Encouraged by a former company boss to take a risk and pursue his passion, he took a bold step, leaving his job to work for CRA Tax in late 2022. Yet, his mind was brimming with the idea of harnessing his social media skills.

With this thought, Motti established Malayali 360, a page that entertained Malayalis worldwide and specifically, Canadian Malayalis. It expanded into various divisions like M360students.ca, M360cars.ca, M360rentals.ca, M360talents.ca, M360jobs.ca, M360foods.ca and M360talks.ca providing tailored services to the Malayali community.

Despite being the brain and face of Malayali 360, Motti Lal doesn’t walk this path alone. He has a dedicated team working alongside him, all sharing a common vision and commitment to enriching the lives of the Malayali community. Each person plays a crucial role in establishing and maintaining this platform that has already touched so many lives.

Today, Motti Lal has made a difference in the lives of over 100K+ Malayalis through his innovative platform. His journey, from a small town in Kottayam to becoming a successful entrepreneur in Canada, is a testament to the power of dreaming big and never giving up.

Given Motti Lal’s determination and relentless work ethic, it’s clear that he is on a promising path. If he continues on this trajectory, there’s no doubt that he will become a prominent business figure in Canada. His journey is one of resilience, perseverance, and a firm belief in the power of community.

Reflecting on his journey, Motti Lal often shares his favorite mantra, “Think big, understand your strengths, plan something and work toward it. Never leave your dreams.” This powerful statement encapsulates the guiding principles of his life.

For Motti, dreaming big isn’t just about having ambitious goals, but it also means understanding your strengths and leveraging them to create a detailed plan. It’s about harnessing your passion, staying committed to your dreams, and tirelessly working towards them, no matter what challenges you encounter. This philosophy, along with his unwavering belief in the importance of dreaming, is evident in his advice to his friends.

He always says to his friend, “There is no need to spend money on dreaming.” This reminder serves as a testament to Motti’s conviction that dreams can be pursued with determination and resourcefulness. Motti’s inspiring journey has transformed Malayali 360 from a mere concept into a vibrant, global platform.

We wish Motti Lal all the best in his journey, hoping for continued success for him and his team at Malayali 360. The platform stands as a testament to their collective vision and their dedication to serving the Malayali community worldwide.
